October 6- Our escort out of the harbor departure day from Stockton Springs.
October 6- Wind 20+ kts. Wind chill 30 degrees. Made 8+ kts down Penobscot Bay.
October 8- Sunset during an overnight sail from Cape Small ME to the Cape Cod Canal. Taken just after we sailed through a pod of 17+ whales! Some close enough to smell their breath. One fin whale swam right under our vessel. Very scary! An awe inspiring sight. Too exciting to get pictures.

Another close call! Dead weight tonnage rule again. Had to tack to avoid collision and certain death. We would have ended up directly in front of the towed barge! Arrgh!
We had a nice relaxing evening at the dock in Clinton CT.
The train station the morning of our trip to NYC. Pete Koutrakos, the Harbormaster was nice enough to drive us to the station this morning. The rest are at "The Big Apple."
